Wedding Theme Ideas for Fall

Fall is a wonderful time to get married! Typically the heat of summer has passed so if you are planning an outdoor wedding, everyone will be more comfortable. The new trend in wedding themes is small and tasteful. Simply find a saying or expression and weave this into the wedding. Use this saying on the save the date cards, invitations and thank you cards. Depending on your saying, you can incorporate it into the decorations and wedding favors too. By adding these little details, you personalize your wedding. I encourage brides to look for products that multi-task. For example, a place card holder that doubles as a wedding favor. Multi-tasking products are a great way to stretch your budget! The new trend in wedding themes is small and tasteful. Forget about the Casino, Beach or Renaissance wedding. Wedding themes do not have to be over the top! They can simply be a thought or saying that is woven into the wedding - a wonderful way to incorporate little finishing details. Attention to detail is what turns an average wedding into an extraordinary wedding - one that people will talk about for years. It's these little details that your guests will notice and say "Now isn't that clever!". Once you decide on a theme, look for the design you want to incorporate. Wedding Receiving Line Etiquette Tips

What is proper wedding receiving line etiquette? When I meet with couples for a pre-wedding consultation, I am constantly surprised at how many do not know what a receiving line is. Or if they do, they cringe at the thought. It is understandably not the most enjoyable part of the day - standing in one spot while hundred's of people file by to offer their congratulations - uggh! However, unless you have a small wedding - 50-75 guests or less - I would recommend doing a receiving line. Your guests honor you by attending your wedding. The receiving line is possibly the only time when you will be able to personally thank each guest for attending. The wedding receiving line can confuse and perplex young couples. The thought of standing in one spot while hundreds of guests file pass to quickly offer hugs and congratulations holds little appeal. When I meet with brides, one of the questions I typically ask is, "Are you doing a receiving line?" Many couples are unsure. What surprises me most however, is that many couples do not even know what I'm referring to. "Do we need to do one?", they ask.
